Ghent meeting [14-19.11.2010]

Prof. Mitar Novakovic, Prof Stevan Trbojevic, Dejan Bokonjic, Nenad Markovic and Srdjan Masic (East Sarajevo), Mr Refik Sahinovic(Bihac), Mrs Lejla Muminovic (Sarajevo), Mr. Alim Abazovic (Djemal Bijedic-Mostar), Mrs Rejhana Dervisevic (Tuzla), Mr Ibrahim Plancic (Zenica), Mrs Marijana Glavas Bandic (Mostar), Mrs Kristina Pantelic and Mr Simo Jokanovic (Banja Luka), Mr Boris Curkovic (Agencija BiH). 8 students from all public Universities in BH (Amila Ciber, Adisa Catic, Gorana Maunaga, Ana Komljenovic, Zlatan Uzunovic, Edita Miftari, Tonka Kresic i Amel Secerkadic).
We started the meeting with welcome speech by Geert Delepeleer, Andre Govaerta and Dejan Bokonjic. Mr Andre Govaert and Dejan Bokonjic gave a general introduction to the seminar and welcomed all participants. (Please find agenda in the attachment of this report).
First day representatives of all eight universities in BiH visited VLHORA (Vlaamse Hogescholenraad). Mieke Beckers and Sofie Landuyt welcomed participants on the behalf of the agency Mrs. Beckers and Mrs. Landuyt presented concepts and experiences in quality assurance in higher education in Flanders.
They spoke about the structure of VLHORA. In their presentation they explained concept of quality assurance: internal quality management, external quality management and accreditation; the different steps in the evaluation process. After presentation they gave assignment to groups to work on Subject 6 - Internal Quality assurance and following indicators: Evaluation of results, Measures for improvement,Involvement of staff, students, alumni and professional field. Co-workers, students, alumnus and the professional field are being involved in the internal quality control. After work in small group we organised a big discussion.
In the end Mr. L. Bollaert from NVAO gave epresentation about the concepts of accreditation and NVAO role in this process.
