Training for secretaries of commissions for external evaluations of study programes

From 07-09 July 2011 project management team of ESABIH project organized practical training of secretaries for external evaluation commissions. One of the most important aims of ESABIH project is external evaluation of selected 33 study programs from eight public Universities in BH. For this reason all selected programs are in the phase of preparation of self-assessment reports, which are going to be finished by the end of September.

For the purpose of external evaluation we formed external teams consisted of EU experts, BH academic experts, students and secretaries. Project management team together with HEA and management team of Universities chose suitable persons to be secretaries of commission. 

Our task during this seminar was to trained selected secretaries of Commissions to go in for this process according to criteria and indicators developed in ESABIH project and approved by governing board of Agency I April 2011 as official criteria and indicators for evaluation and accreditation of study programs in BH. Seminar was lead by two experts from EU, Prof Andre Govaert ,and Mieke Beckers-VLHORA. Seminar was organized at HEA and total of 20 participants took part on this seminar.

Seminar started with welcome speech of Mr Boris Curkovic, Deputy Head of HEA, who hosted this seminar. Prof Govaert welcomed seminar on behalf of contractor institution and Prof Bokonjic welcomed participants on behalf of the Consortium of the project. Mr Bokonjic presented agenda of the meeting and also spoke about criteria and indicators for evaluation and accreditation of study programs in BH. Mr Curkovic presented current situation in High education area in BH and also plans of Agency for evaluation and accreditation of High education institution in BH and study programs.
